Description: This fun phonemic awareness game enables kids to practice identifying and isolating the initial, middle, and final sound in each cvc word in order to locate the position of a given phoneme. After clicking the star to hear the phoneme/sound, kids have to name the cvc picture (or listen to the audio) and identify the position of that sound in the word: beginning, middle or end. Then, they have to drag the star to the correct box (first, middle or last box). No text (except for the heading) has been included in this activity since phonemic awareness activities should solely focus on sounds. Audio directions are included when one clicks the 'i' button at the top and the speech bubble. Each cvc picture is also accompanied with audio to enable kids to work independently.
