Description: This engaging 2D shape sort is a fun way for your students to practice recognizing two-dimensional shapes in the environment and for you to easily assess their shape recognition mastery. Each card has 6 real-world shape picture cards that students sort by dragging and dropping them to the correct column on the clipboard. The first 10 cards require students to sort the picture cards by shape or not the shape (circle, not a circle). The last 10 cards require students to sort the real-world picture cards between two shapes (for example, square in one column and rectangle in the other column). This sorting activity gives students practice with visual discrimination and shape recognition. This deck includes the following 2D shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, diamond and rhombus, hexagon, octagon, pentagon, and trapezoid. Perfect for small group or whole group instruction, math centers, assessment, morning work, extra practice, etc! Practices the following common core standards: K.G.A.2 K.G.A.3
