This 31-card function vocabulary deck builds careful reading comprehension and critical thinking by presenting common items alongside three function options, but watch out: some answers contain partial context clues or absurd suggestions designed to catch students reading impulsively rather than thinking carefully. Each card presents a familiar item and asks "What does it do?" with three choices, requiring students to evaluate ALL three options, eliminate the absurd or partially-correct answers, and select the truly accurate function. The intentional "trick" answers ensure students can't succeed by skimming or relying on keyword matching — they must actually read, think, and reason about what makes sense.
