Description: This set includes 24 task cards that will allow your students to practice identifying the author's purpose for writing. Students will read each passage, and determine the answer from a list of four multiple choice options. This set of author's purpose cards are designed for upper elementary and middle school students. It uses the more advanced acronym of PIE'ED. The answer choices include the following verbs: persuade, inform, entertain, explain, or describe. *Please note that this content is the same as my Author's Purpose task cards in my TpT store.
