Description: Identify interval sizes from unison up to an octave AND review note identification with this double-duty deck. Students read the interval, select the corresponding notes on the keyboard, then choose the correct interval size. The bonus step of visualizing on the keyboard promotes fluent note recognition during the elementary stage of learning. Intervals are presented in both harmonic and melodic forms, with a variety of note values. Clip art has been omitted in this deck for less distraction and to allow older students to learn without feeling that the concept is too young for them. One teaching card explains the concept at the start of each round, and one demonstration card shows how to answer each question. The following 18 randomized cards allow students to play a different game every time. Cards have both written and audio instructions and are optimized for visual and audio accessibility. All answers are clickable (no drag and drop) and z-order has been used to make this deck more suitable for students needing motor accommodations. Correlates with RCM Levels 1 and 2 (Royal Conservatory of Music.) This is not a product of RCM, but provides extra practice for concepts covered in the Levels 1 and 2 Celebrate Theory workbooks. Great for online or in-person piano lessons, theory classes, exam preparation, music classes, music lab, take-home activities, homeschooling, and device-based learning.
