Description
This interactive no-prep Christmas Tree activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills. This activity contains animated action verbs (GIFS) and visual sentence strips. Students are able to follow 1-step directions with a variety of Christmas tree decorations by putting decorations ON the tree. After, the student picks the correct decoration, there will be an action verb behind the toy. On the next slide, students are able to answer WH questions (e.g. what is the girl/boy doing?), label the correct verb and increase MLU to form 4-word sentences! This activity includes: - A variety of tree decorations (e.g. red light, orange light, green light, blue light, purple light, pink light, green ornament, blue ornament, candy cane, wreath, Santa Claus ornament, snowman ornament, gingerbread ornament) - A variety of action verbs (singing, cooking, sleeping, kicking, swinging, eating, swimming, painting, hiding, bouncing, standing up, throwing, playing, coloring, climbing stairs, climbing ladder, drinking, running, jumping rope, laughing, dancing, jumping, walking) - Visual Sentence Strips to help students expand their utterances The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Following 1-step directions with common nouns - Answering WH questions - Expanding Utterances & Increasing MLU - Labeling Verbs - Identifying & Labeling Christmas Decorations & Colors
