What's included and how to use this deck... Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. and illustrated by Eric Carle is one of the most beloved children's books. Help your student access the content and engage with the story using this deck. On the first card after directions, you'll find an aided language board. Have this card pulled up as you read the book with your student to teach and reinforce vocabulary and support the student's comments and questions. The next 22 cards will target color and animal recognition in addition to providing opportunities to teach and model the core vocabulary word "see." Students will select the color and animal prompted. Their correct choice will be reinforced on the next card by seeing the animal (in a silly color) that was specified. 10 colors and animals are included. The final 10 cards all the student to describe and formulate sentences to describe what they "see" in the scenes as if they are "looking" through binoculars. The scenes are very detailed/busy, giving them lots to talk about.
