Description
This 49-card scavenger hunt will teach your students interesting facts about snakes. While completing the hunt, students will learn where they could live to avoid an encounter with a snake, why snakes don't need eyelids, how snake brumation differs from mammal hibernation, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 25 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer is found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of reptiles, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, for a reading/science center, or as an easy activity for a sub.
