Description: 4th grade math skills will be used to finish brewing a potion in this exciting escape room! Students will race to find factors of numbers less than 100, create equivalent fractions, identify prime and composite numbers, and more! This escape room is great for any time of year, but is especially fun as a Valentine's Day activity as the students are brewing a "love potion." Escape rooms are great for review and encouraging student engagement. This breakout is designed with fourth grade math standards, but could be used for advanced 3rd graders or as review or remediation for 5th grade. Skills needed to complete this breakout: -Divide three digit number by a single digit -Multiply two two-digit numbers -Solve a subtraction word problem with five-digit numbers -Create equivalent fractions -Identify prime and composite numbers -Find factors of numbers under 100 -Unscramble words These Boom Cards™ contain audio reading of the clues. The escape room is completely self-checking and guided by the Boom Deck™. Many teachers have students show their work on paper and explain their thought processes for solving the problems after they have successfully escaped. This escape room is quicker to complete than most of our products. Plan up to 45 minutes for students to complete the challenge!
