Students will use the measurements given in the circles to complete the formula or proportion to solve for circumference or arc length. Arc length is being taught using the knowledge that since an arc length is a part of the whole circumference and the central angle is a part of the whole 360° in a circle, then a proportion can be created and solved to find missing measures.
