Description

Get the bears ready for winter hibernation in this fun game, perfect to add interactive fun to any speech therapy session while targeting pragmatic language skills! Card 1 shows instructions, Card 2 has a game board, and cards 3 and 4 show the cave with bears, items, and their lists. Each snowflake on the game board leads to a page with a prompt. With the items so shuffled and with different character combinations possible, this game has excellent replay value for highly motivating activities during your entire winter season. Each of the 25 target prompt pages has a scenario described in first person and gives a binary choice of expected or unexpected, then an open-response blank for a follow-up question to ask the student how other people might react to the choice. This makes the activity flexible for multiple age and complexity levels. Game Instructions: Four bears are getting ready to hibernate, but need to fill their treasure chests before they go into their caves for the winter. Travel around the board and practice the words under each snowflake to find the item underneath. The first bear to collect all 5 of their items is the winner. Near the end of the game, when lots of snowflakes have been opened, players can move less spaces than their roll to make sure they find a new item on their turn. 2 Players should each choose two bears. 3 Players will each choose a bear, and have one computer player.
