Help AAC users and verbal communicators familiarize themselves with their AAC system while practicing the concept words “heavy” and “light” with this BOOM Cards™ deck featuring 66 total slides and 33 object comparisons. This deck can also be adapted for “YES” or “NO” responses, depending on the student’s level. 📷 Is it heavy or light? Students are presented with pairs of objects to compare by weight, such as a bird and birdcage, stone and boulder, and coffee cup and coffee maker. Each set begins with both items shown together, followed by individual slides where a person holds each object. Students decide whether the object is heavy or light. Designed for TD Snap, Proloquo2Go, TouchChat, LAMP, MultiChat, core boards, and verbal expression, this resource supports single-word responses, 2- and 3-word utterances, sentence-building, and describing.
