Description: Do we really need the past perfect? YES! It can add nuances to what we want to communicate (even if it is sometimes exactly the same as the simple past). With this 35 card deck, your high school to adult ESL students will: * Drag & drop to show what happened first * Fill in the blanks with the correct positive OR negative form (context is important here!) * Label verbs as simple past or past perfect (another drag & drop) With the labeling cards, I sometimes colored the verbs to make them stand out as there were other words that students might mistake for verbs. Many of these sentences were taken from my Past Perfect Grammar Guide & Worksheets resource on TpT, but I also added a few more that are unique to this resource.
