This deck includes visuals explaining the difference between a question and an answer. Included are three activities to help students understand how to respond to questions. My original inspiration for this deck was to help my student decrease echolalia responses to questions. You may also use this activity to work on answering various questions, maintaining topics of conversation, and taking conversational turns. There are 4 options to choose from on the homepage. Visuals [question vs. answer explanation; “wh” question visuals for who, what, where, when] Receptive: A written prompt and visual are provided. Students choose if the prompt is a question or answer. Self-checking feature included! Sorting: Students sort question/answer prompts into the respective category [question or answer] Expressive: A question is provided on each card, accompanied by a visual. Drag a star each time the student answers the question. Try to provide five different answers. You can also work on maintaining the conversation by asking follow up questions or making comments.
