Description
Develop self-regulation and body awareness, and identify feelings and emotions, with this deck of Interoception Emotional Regulation cards. Students scan their bodies, reflect on how they experience feelings and emotions, and choose coping strategies to help them regulate and calm. Designed for special education students and early learners, these cards are perfect for SEL lessons, daily check-ins, teaching emotional regulation, developing executive functioning, and reducing challenging behaviour. Interoception is the ability to notice body cues (such as fast breathing, a racing heart, or tears in eyes) and connect them with feelings or emotions. This ability helps students regulate emotions, reduce difficult behaviours, and remain ready to learn. This deck includes 12 emotion cards, + 1 cover page + 1 instruction page + 1 emotion menu. Students select from 12 emotions to play: happy, confused, sad, worried, angry, excited, confused, shy, afraid, grumpy, embarrassed, and silly. Each emotion card allows students to: -type or print the name of the emotion -drag-and-drop sensations to the body to show how and where they experience feelings -select strategies to help them feel better / calmer -use the ink feature to colour the battery to show how much energy they have
