Description: This problem solving resource is LOADED with 50 DIFFERENT PROBLEM-SOLVING SCENARIOS! Scenarios include functional and social problems within different school environments. Students get to choose where they go and what problems they encounter, making this activity high interest and motivating! How does it work? Students begin by selecting one school location (classroom, gym, lunchroom, playground, hallway, school entrance, library and PreK classroom) from the main menu. Once they have entered a location, they can select any item or person on the page that is clickable. There are between 5-8 clickable items/people in each location, totaling 50 different social and functional problem-solving scenarios! Once a student clicks on an item or person, they will be taken to a new page where they will be given a brief written scenario (1-2 sentences), an illustration, and a place to type in both the problem and a possible solution. The typing can be completed by a teacher (or the scenarios just verbally talked through) for students that cannot yet type. On each page, there is also a tab titled BONUS. This can be pulled onto the screen for 4 additional problem-solving questions (or left hidden). Below are the 4 questions on the pull tab. 1. How would you feel in this situation? 2. Can you think of a second solution for the problem? 3. What might happen if the problem isn’t solved? 4. Has this problem ever happened to you?
