Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills. Students are able to answer "where" questions, build vocabulary (e.g. community buildings & town buildings), and increase MLU to sentences such as "the pizza truck is at school." This interactive activity is extremely motivating and engaging! This activity contains the following: - 24 different community building (e.g. school, library, grocery store, post office, hospital, diner, barber shop, hair salon, candy store, ice cream shop, pharmacy, donut shop, pet shop, coffee shop, bank, movie theatre, gas station, airport, hotel, church, police station, school, garage, fire station) - 8 different food trucks (e.g. pizza truck, ice cream truck, taco truck, fast food truck, sushi truck, bakery truck, donut truck, barbecue truck, etc.) - Visual sentence strips to help students increase MLU Some IEP goals that can be targeted during this activity: - Expanding Utterances and Increasing MLU - Where Questions - Vocabulary (community & town buildings) - Other WH Question ideas (e.g. why do you go to the hospital, what do you buy at the grocery store, what do you fly in at the airport, where do you go send a letter, etc.) - Inferences (e.g. if you want something cold and sweet, what food truck do you go to, if you want meat, what food truck do you go to, etc.)
