Description: Students will practice adding two two-digit numbers in this fun, scaffolded activity. Students will see a two-digit by two-digit addition problem on each card. No regrouping is required in this deck. Scaffolds: - Touch-dot numbers on the smaller of the numerals in each column - Column (place value) guides - Arrow pointing to the starting column (ones place) *This deck is designed for students in the upper grades because the touch-dots are only on the smaller of the two numbers in each column. Students will need to use the "counting on" strategy by saying the higher number, and then counting on using the touch-dots on the smaller number. Decks with touch-dots on BOTH numbers are also available in my store for younger/ beginning students.
