Description: This deck is intended to be used in the classroom, speech therapy room or via telehealth to help children communicate their likes and dislikes related to various play activities (coloring, singing, swinging, etc.) or movement breaks (jumping, spinning, marching, etc.) There are visuals provided to help expand the student's response into a 3-4 word utterance. There is also an option for student's to imitate a gesture response (nodding head or shaking head- to indicate yes/no response). For added fun: allow your students to imitate the actions/pretend to play. For conversation practice - have students ask peers whether they like to do ____, too. You can also model for students to ask follow-up questions/make follow-up comments. This activity was designed for students who use AAC devices; however, it can be used with any student who needs support in discussing their likes/dislikes. I hope you enjoy it!
