Description: This activity can be used to target either the receptive understanding of high-frequency, present-progressive verbs OR the expressive use of subjective pronouns, with verbs, in 3-word phrases. This activity can be done in either English or Spanish and uses real images of people. If you are using the activity to target receptive understanding of verbs, give the student remote control of your screen while you are screen-sharing. This will allow the student to press the buttons. If you are targeting the expressive use of verbs, ask "who is ___ (verb)?" and they will either answer: "she is ___" or "he is ___" since each slide will have the option of a boy/man or girl/woman. This activity can be used to address language delays as well as Spanish or English second language learning. The student can "look inside a treasure chest" halfway through for motivation. I am a bilingual pediatric speech language pathologist. I work in both English and Spanish with children ages 1-18 years.
