Description: These Earth Day Boom Cards™ will help your students with reading comprehension by answering Who? What? Where? and How? questions in this 11 card deck. Students will read each page and question independently. The story, questions, and choices are NOT read aloud to the student. Students should use picture clues provided to help students figure out (decode) words in the story and look back in the story to find the answers. This deck has 1 story. The different parts of the story are on 11 pages. There is only one question per card. The cards in this deck are not randomized so that the story is read in order. Students will choose from four multiple choice answers by selecting the correct answer from the story. Students should look back in the story to find the answer (finding the evidence in the text). Answer choices include phrases. Correct answers are rewarded with a bell sound which automatically advances students to the next card. Incorrect answers hear “whoops” and students must keep trying until the correct answer is chosen. There are 11 cards in this deck of self-checking cards. This deck of cards is great for center time, early finishers, homework, distance learning, and so much more!
