Description
This gap fill activity is great for students to practice and understand grammar rules for past simple and past continuous/progressive. Students read a sentence and need to change the verb in brackets given to the correct form. Most sentences are one answer in simple and one answer in continuous / progressive, but there are some with both is past simple or both past continuous / progressive. This is a great activity for ESL students and is self correcting so can be used for homework, review or unit tests.
