Price: 200 points or $2 USD

Subjects: math

Grades: 2,3,4

Description: Students will drag the hundreds, tens, and ones to the place value mat to solve the subtraction problems. Students have the option of regrouping and subtracting on the mat or just putting the final answer. If students need to regroup, they need to put the cross out lines over the numbers they are regrouping. Students will be scored on having the correct amount of place value blocks on the mat, the yes or no question on regrouping, using the cross out marks if needed, and filling in the numbers on the equation. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.B.7 Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.B.9 Explain why addition and subtraction strategies work, using place value and the properties of operations.1
