Research has shown the importance of phonemic awareness! Helping students identify sounds helps their reading and spelling. This deck focuses on CVC words with short a. First, they listen to 2 words with picture support. Next, they have to click on red (no thumbs down) or yes (green thumbs up) and decide if the two words rhyme. Improving phonemic awareness is also a great intervention for students that are struggling with phonics skills.
