These 36 task cards cover 4 digit and 5 digit addition. These cards are differentiated. Cards 1-12 have a purple background and are the easiest. Cards 13-24 have an orange background and are a little more difficult. Cards 25-36 have a black background and are the most challenging. Answers are fill in the blank and students are asked to fill in each digit of the answer. There is also space for students to carry over numbers when they are adding. Teachers should ask students to work from right to left when filling out the numbers. These cards are aligned to the common core 4.NBT.B4.
