Description: This is the perfect set of activities to use all WINTER, with your clients who have difficulty with motor-planning and sequencing the early consonants (/m,n,p,b,t,d,w,h/) and syllable combinations or who are highly unintelligible and have difficulty producing a variety of recognizable words. The deck is FUN and EASY to use in speech teletherapy. Attempting to work on speech for this population is HARD work...that's why we have to keep our therapy disguised as games and 'play' activities with fun and relevant themes. The ‘vocabulary’ for treatment of Apraxia does not vary to a large degree -- and will not vary much -- as there are a finite number of possible words with the specific syllable shapes and early consonants that are needed to effectively and systematically teach motor-planning and sequencing of speech so that children can gain functional verbal language. Included in this resource are 200 color icons (in sets of 10) for each Syllable Shape: V, VV, VCVCV, CV1CV2, VC, CV(x30 words), CVC Synthesis: /h, w, p, b, t, d, m, n), C1V1C2V2, Pivot Syllables -dle, -dy, -ny. After the child says the 10 target words in the purple box, they can move the items into the provided WINTER scenes. **If you like this and need to target later sounds and phonological processes, check out the WINTER Phono & Artic Deck, which includes 300 targets. Have fun!! ~The SLP on TPT, Meredith Taylor
