Description

Build a solid understanding of root position tonic, subdominant, and dominant chords in major and minor keys up to three flats or sharps. Students will learn how to identify the root/quality (major/minor) and functional (I. IV, V) chord symbols for primary triads as shown on the staff with key signatures. Triads are presented in both solid (block) form and broken form. Major keys include C, G, D, A, F, B flat, and E flat major. Minor keys include Am, Em, Bm, F#m, Dm, Gm, and Cm. Audio and written instructions are included throughout the deck. The first five cards introduce the concepts and give examples of strategies to answer the questions. The remaining 16 cards per play are randomized. Questions are fill-in-the-blank and drag and drop. Alt-text for sound and images is used throughout. This series covers material used in Royal Conservatory (RCM) Celebrate Theory Level 4. This is a supplement to RCM studies, and not a product of RCM. Please refer to the current syllabus to confirm exact requirements. Check out the bundle for savings. Great for online or in-person theory classes, piano or instrumental lessons, exam preparation, music classes, music labs, take-home activities, homeschooling, and device-based learning.
