Description: This BOOM CARDS™ activity helps you target language and audition goals such as following directions, description, and verbs with your students in speech therapy. The pizza theme is relatable and engaging, and the multiple levels allow you to differentiate the activity for students of many ages. Making "virtual" pizzas is a new and fun way for your students to work on following directions and other vocabulary and concepts! The deck begins with a step-by-step of making a pizza from start (putting the crust on the pan) to finish (cutting the cooked pizza and putting it in a pizza box). As an additional language activity, students can then sequence the steps they've just completed. The rest of the cards target following directions of increasing complexity, as students drag and drop toppings to pizzas of various sizes. There are 10 cards at 3 different levels which range from 2-3 elements to 6 elements. An open-ended card allows students to give each other directions and/or share about their favorite toppings.
