Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills. Students are given a variety of snowman at work and community buildings. Students are able to answer WH questions, label community helpers and increase MLU with the core word NEED. This interactive activity is extremely motivating and engaging! This activity contains the following: - 18 different community helpers (e.g, doctor, dentist, police officer, plumber, teacher, librarian, fire fighter, painter, astronaut, veterinarian, baker, detective, gardener, farmer, mailman, garbage collector construction worker) - 16 different community building (e.g. hospital, police station, dentist, grocery store, school, library, fire station, bank, church, airport, bakery, flower shop, animal hospital, farm, post office, hotel) - Visual sentence strips to help students increase MLU Some IEP goals that can be targeted during this activity: - Expanding Utterances and Increasing MLU - WH Questions - Core Word NEED - Labeling Community Helpers - Other WH Question ideas (e.g. where is the firefighter, why do you go to the hospital, what do you buy at the grocery store, what do you fly in at the airport, where do you go if you want baked goods, etc.) - Inferences (e.g. if your car needs gas, where do you go)
