Description: Find the rabbit in each magic hat, but first find other things. The main intent is to provide many opportunities for students to listen (and watch and feel) for differences in initial sounds between two words. Target sounds are stop consonants: initial k, g, t, d, p, b. Free printable key found here: https://wow.boomlearning.com/store/file/f6sPdmDyKpn6FsoJs 1. The DOOR: Say ABRACADABRA and rub the four runes to open the door. Click "enter" to enter the magic room. 2. Review the concept of same/different, click "next" 3. Flip the hat over. You may have to tap it again for good luck. 4. Tap the hat with the magic wand and pull out an object from the magic hat by dragging. There are two target words in each hat. Say the words for the student so that he or she can watch your articulation model. Have the student say the words while listening or feeling for any differences in the initial sound. Use the stars to mark the prompts "listen" "watch" "feel" when the student uses these supports. Help the child decide (or let them decide) if the initial sounds are the same or different. Choose the student's answer to check. Don't forget to find the rabbit in the hat before moving on to another card! Click "back" or "next" to navigate, or use your left and right arrow keys. The page number in the upper left corner will take you to an index if desired. Then click on the number of the specific card you want to visit, if you don't want to play all of the cards in order.
