Description: Target executive functioning skills of initiating and completing an after-school task. Teach a student how to follow multistep directions to complete an errand in the community by commuting to the store and purchasing school supplies, then commuting home in a timely manner. Student will receive a school supply list with a due date and will then put steps in order to complete the errand of purchasing the supplies. Then, the student will answer comprehension questions and use memory recall to remember the steps. Students will demonstrate perspective taking by sharing a personal experience. Great for travel-trained individuals who are working on independence and ADL skills. Includes mini-lesson, task to put 5 steps in order and comprehension questions. One open-response question to show perspective taking.
