Celebrate the season and challenge your students' listening skills with this Christmas game with a twist! Students match aural and notated examples of familiar Christmas carols, then unscramble ten melody puzzles to earn ornaments to decorate a tree. Songs include Deck the Halls, O Christmas Tree, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and Jingle Bells. 30 questions are presented in sets of three; all three must be correct to "unlock" a puzzle. Once the puzzle is correctly unscrambled they may move on to the next set. Incorrect answers will send them back to the beginning of the set to try again! Two puzzles are "Super Challenges" with longer melodies to piece together. When all ten puzzles have been solved the student wins the game. The final card reveals a tree for them to decorate with the ornaments they have collected. Questions are drag and drop. Audio instructions, alt-text and tab order are used throughout. This deck relies entirely on aural skills, so is not accessible for students with severe hearing loss. PLEASE NOTE: this deck WILL occasionally show previous answers when the student revisits a card after an error. The card may be reset by moving the snowflake to any spot on the background, releasing it, and then dragging it to the correct ornament. This allows for scores and gems to be awarded at the end of each play. Great for online or in-person music lessons, piano lessons, band class, choir, home-schooling, theory lessons, or just for fun!
