Description
Understanding Greek and Latin Root words is an essential skill for learning new vocabulary. Students who can recognize a familiar root word within an unfamiliar word have a better chance at understanding and spelling the new word. At the beginning of the deck, students learn 20 familiar Greek and Latin root words. On each card, the root word is given along with a picture and a definition of the root. Four examples and their definitions using the root word are given. Students are required to write the root word in each of the words. The last part of the deck requires students to recognize the root and select its meaning from a group of 4 choices. Second in the series!
