Description
This 32-card scavenger hunt will teach your students interesting facts about the Sun. While completing the hunt, students will learn if there is wind on the sun, how old it is, how many Earths can fit inside of the Sun, and more. To complete the hunt, students classify15 statements as either true or false. To do this, they read a passage that will give them the answer. If they choose the correct answer, they will advance to the next statement. If they choose the wrong answer, they can return to the passage to see what they missed. As students progress through the scavenger hunt a picture of the Sun is revealed. The final card in the deck requires students to write 3 interesting things they learned about the Sun. It can be used as to supplement a study of the solar system, a science activity, to build background for a story, to practice reading informational text, a center, or as an easy activity for a sub.
