Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills while reading the book Dear Zoo. This activity contains animals and boxes from the book Dear Zoo. This interactive activity is extremely motivating and help your students stay engaged! This is great for speech therapy, tele-therapy, or even in person therapy! This activity includes: - A variety of activities to target labeling animals, core vocabulary, following directions, expanding utterances and so much more! - Visual Sentence Strips to help students expand MLU - Activities that promote multiple repetitions of the core word OPEN and WANT First, students are provided with a visual that says "open" and different colored boxes. Students are asked to open the box to see what is behind it. On the next slide, students are presented with the animal that was in the box and asked the WH question "what do you want?" Students are provided with a visual sentence starter "I want a (noun)" to help formulate a full sentence.
