Description: This Earth Day mini-lesson teaches elementary students about recycling and composting. Throughout the lesson are quick activities to evaluate comprehension of the vocabulary and extend the concepts discussed on the teaching cards. Short passages explain what composting and recycling is. Specific examples and photographs are used to help students connect to the information.
