Take a virtual walk through the neighborhood and check out all the holiday decorations! Most houses are decorated for Christmas but some houses just have lights. In this interactive Boom Deck, students rate each house’s decorations from 1–5 stars by dragging stars from the side of the screen. After giving their rating, they’ll write a short explanation to support their choice, encouraging writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. There are 35 houses for students to rate. At the end, students reflect on their decisions by deciding whether they still agree with their original ratings or want to adjust them after seeing all the houses. They’ll also get to choose their favorite house overall! A fun, festive way to work on writing, reasoning, and expressive language during the winter and Christmas season!
