Description

Students compare fractions, decimals and percentages in this 6th Grade math boom deck. The aim of this resource is to build an understanding of the methods that can be used to convert and compare fractions, decimals and percents. The first ten questions require students to use 2 different methods to compare decimals and percentages: Method 1: Multiply x 100 (or move the decimal point) Method 2: Change the decimal to a fraction (parts per 100) then a percent. The remaining questions require students to compare fractions and percentages. Both multipliers and divisors are used to calculate an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100. This resource aims to support an element of 6.RP.A.3c and TEKS 6.5.B.
