Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills with thanksgiving food. Students are presented with a thanksgiving table with 1 food or drink on it. Students are able to answer WH questions to label common food and drinks, while also increasing MLU with visual sentence starters (e.g. I eat ___). This activity includes: - A variety of thanksgiving food items (e.g. pie, bread, turkey, cornucopia, jam, corn, yam, vegetables, pumpkin, mashed potatoes, carrots, water, sweet potatoes, gravy, ham, stuffing, cranberries, green beans, pumpkin pie, cake) - Visual Sentence Strips to help students expand their utterances - Multiple repetitions of the word EAT The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Answering WH questions - Expanding Utterances & Increasing MLU - Core Word EAT - Labeling Food
