This deck includes multi-step equations with the variable on both sides of the equal sign. Students need to know how to use the distributive property to simplify expressions on each side of the equal sign. Some problems involve fractions (ex: 1/2 times 6). Answers DO NOT include special solutions. Card tasks are outlined below: Cards 1 - 6 require the students to solve an equation for the value of the variable (activity: Drag and Drop) Cards 7 - 10 require the students to solve an equation for the value of the variable (activity: multiple-choice) Cards 11 - 13 require the students to solve an equation for the value of the variable (activity: fill-in-the-blank) Cards 14 - 16 require the student to identify the step in the solution process in which an error was made. This is considered Error Analysis. (activity: multiple-choice)
