Description: Adapted vocabulary book great for teaching concepts functional vocabulary, context clues and descriptive language. Each page has a description of an animal with the picture of the animal. Choose to have the student simply match the animal OR cover up the picture of the animal and have the student guess the animal that you are describing. You may also wish to have the student simply work on using their descriptive language skills and for this, you can move the interactive pieces and work with these to start by asking the student to describe the animals individually to you and follow up with rereading this book together and applying that practice during the lesson.
