Description: This boom deck is designed to help your students identify American coins and bills as well as count money. In our digital world, counting change has become a lost art as more and more students are unfamiliar with basic coins and their values. This deck had one introductory slide to show students each common coin (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter) and its value. Another slide shows students the $1, $5, $10, and $20 bill. The remaining 24 slides have various money counting activities with increasing difficulty. Feel free to use the "Hide Card" feature to hide any card you feel are too difficult for your students. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.MD.A.2 Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
