Research has shown the importance of phonemic awareness! Helping students identify sounds helps their reading and spelling. This deck focuses on CVC words with short a. First, they listen to 3 words with picture support. Next, they have to click on the picture that has a different middle sound (isolate vowel sound) than the other two pictures. Improving phonemic awareness is also a great intervention for students that are struggling with phonics skills.
