Description: IMPORTANT NOTE: This resource is part of a series -- the pictures used here are the SAME ones used in SOCIAL SCENARIOS: PERSPECTIVE-TAKING AND ELICITING POSITIVE & NEGATIVE REACTIONS but the target skills and questions are DIFFERENT. This resource is for MAKING INFERENCES. ----------------- Do you have students who have difficulty "reading the room" when put in a social situation? Making inferences is an important language skill in general, and it's also equally important when targeting social skills. School-aged students are more exposed to different social situations. As an SLP, it's my job to teach these students how to "read the room" so they can better understand what's going on. In this resource, 30 real pictures are divided into two sets with 15 pictures each. Each picture has 3-4 questions where students have to look beyond the social scenario by tapping into their background knowledge. Each picture also has a pull-up "CUE CARD" found on the bottom right, which contains guide questions that help beginners answer the inference questions.
