Description: Phonological Awareness is the foundation for Reading and Writing success. Students who have phonological awareness know that language is made up of words, rhymes, syllables, and sounds. In this game students listen to three, four and five syllable words and drag the thumbs up to the circle if the amount of syllables in the words are the same and drag the thumbs down to the circle if the amount of syllables in the words is different. The purpose of this game is for students to discriminate between sets of words with the same and different amounts of syllables.
