Fishy 1: Students must match the beginning sounds with the capital letters B, D, J, K, P, T, V, Z. These are the easiest letters to match to sounds. The Fishy Path reinforces the phonemic awareness skill of identifying first sounds and the phonics skill of matching sounds with letters. All decks have audio instructions and prompts. Decks are sequenced to provide students with increasing difficulty. Decks 1 thru 5 focus on beginning consonant sounds; Decks 6 thru 8 focus on beginning vowel sounds.
