A deck of 15 word problems require students to correctly identify distinguish which numbers become the "slope" and the "y-intercept" when choosing the matching equation. This set includes negative values for both the slope and y-intercept. Students also practice: - looking for words such as "per" and "each" to help locate the slope - using words such as budget, coupon, descend, altitude, twice, triple and product - the distinction between "less" and "less than" in a word problem as well as "more" and "more than" and identifying the corresponding equation. Most answers are in slope intercept form (y=mx+b).
