Readers' Theater actively engages your students in reading while increasing automaticity, reading fluency, and expression. Stone Soup is based on a European folk tale that teaches a lesson on community, cooperation, and generosity. Students read the Traveler's part. When prompted, students click on RECORD and read their part. They can record several times until they are satisfied with their fluency and expression. Boom Learning does not save the recording. This is primarily for students to self-check and practice reading fluency. The narrator part is read for them to follow or read along. TIP: Use this with your whole group to demonstrate how to use this readers (reader's) theater and to practice prior to using in small groups or individually.
