Description
This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills using animated MONSTER ACTION VERBS (GIFS). Students are asked "Monster, Monster, What Do You Want? Students are given visual sentence starters (e.g. I need a (color) monster). This activity helps students label colors, answer WH questions, using the core word WANT in sentences & increase MLU! These animated colored monsters keep the activity extremely motivating and help your students stay engaged! This activity includes: - Activities for increasing MLU, labeling colors, & answering WH questions! - Visual Sentence Strips to help students expand their utterances - 2 Visual choices per slide Students are presented with the following animated monster verbs: - Waving - Walking - Hiding - Melting - Biting - Jumping - Flying - Eating - Drinking - Blowing - Talking - Dancing - Looking The following colors are included in this activity: - Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Blue - Purple - Pink The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Answering What Questions - Using Subject + Verb + Adjective + Object sentence structures - Using core word NEED - Pragmatics (e.g. requesting) - Expanding Utterances & Increasing MLU - Labeling Verbs (e.g. asking what is the monster doing?) - Describing (e.g. colors, attributes, etc.)
