This is a speech therapy activity designed for students pratcing /M/ in articulation. It targets articulation as well as phonological awareness and orthographic differentiation between spelling and spoken sounds. Every target word in this deck is a single syllable word, 90% of which are CVC but contain some variants such as CCV or VCC or CV. This 100 card deck contains one card with a menu that links to 6 activities. - How to Make this Sound: 4 cards with diagrams and explicit instructions on how the sound is produced, written in simple and accessible language and designed for review before or during the session. - Beginning, Middle, and End: 15 cards with mutliple choice asking the student to identify the beginning, middle, and end sounds of 5 different words. - Build-A-Word: 30 task cards giving a word containing the target sound, with an arry of 6 drag-and-drop choices of phonemes. - Treasure Hunt - 20 task cards containing an array of 6 target words, hidden by colorful dots. Find the Difference - 20 task cards containing 2 words that are minimal pairs and an array of 6 drag-and-drop choices of phonemes. Sorting: 10 task cards containing an array of 8 target words. The student is asked to sort the 8 words and identify if the target sound is in the initial or final positions.
